Years after becoming a father - first to his son Agasthya, then to his daughter Yashica - Nitin Lad watched five-year-old Yashica drawing freely one quiet afternoon. It made him realize how quickly the years since their arrivals had passed.
There were thousands of photographs of those years. They had preserved faces, places and days. But he realized he had never intentionally acknowledged what becoming their father had meant to him.
That quiet moment surfaced a larger question:
How often do we preserve a defining moment without ever intentionally recognizing what it meant?
The behavior was not new. People have long found ways to acknowledge what matters. What was missing was a name for that specific intention.
That name became Permanent Recognition.
This was the first chapter. Every moment recognized becomes another.
